Didier Deschamps Recall 2018 France World Cup Hero For Euro 2024

The Euros are quickly approaching and teams are starting to finalize their squads heading into the end of 2024. Although France already has a talented squad, with most players on teams in the Premier League, French Ligue 1, Bundesliga, or Spanish La Liga, they could make an exception for N’golo Kante who is playing in Saudi Arabia.

Didier Deschamps, the manager of the France national team, made N’golo Kante a member of the 25-man squad heading to the 2024 Euros after a surprise decision fueled by injury changes, current form, and club results.

N’golo Kante isn’t too old or past his prime, but he did make a shocking move to leave Chelsea and leave for the Saudi Pro League last year. Since his move after an injury-prone last season at the Blues, he has performed extremely well, making 28 appearances so far in the current season for his club.

But, he will compete with other players who are playing extremely well at the moment. The France national team also features Tchouameni and Cavaminga, both of whom could take N’golo’s spot from him. The France team also features Rabiot, Fofana, and Warren Zaire, all of whom can play a pivotal role in the midfield.

And Deschamps stands by his decision to include an older veteran on the squad after deliberately choosing to move to a less competitive league in Saudi Arabia.

‘With N’Golo, no matter the situation, there is never a problem. He’s an angel. Everyone likes him. He has no guarantees. To be honest, the seven midfielders can be the starters taht he deserves or that I give him. He has a status and that weighs, but it’s N’Golo, and N’Golo is fine, he’s fine all the time.’

France National Team Squad List

Deschamps announced the France squad for the upcoming Euros tournament this year less than 24 hours ago. He chose 25 men who would take part in the tournament to try and bring the trophy back to their home country.

Other important members of the competition squad list include Barcola, a young PSG winger who does not yet have any appearances for the France national team. Mbappe is on the list, who was a sure shoo-in after having a fantastic year at PSG before announcing his departure for Real Madrid to continue winning in La Liga and succeeding in the Champions League.

The France fans also look forward to seeing Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich, Konate from Liverpool, Pavard from Inter Milan, Saliba from Arsenal, Mendy from Real Madrid, Rabiot from Juventus, Giroud from AC Milan, and Thuram from Inter Milan.
