Update: WR Daylen Baldwin Reaches Injury Settlement With Browns
USA TODAY Sports

As we wrote about last week, The Cleveland Browns have agreed to an injury settlement and officially been waived by the team according to Aaron Wilson.

This is a standard procedure when a team has an injured player that they don't want to continue carrying a roster spot for. The player is waived and free to sign wherever they would like to when healthy. Baldwin will be out of action for a total of 6-8 weeks. It was also reported at the time that the team would love to have him back in their program, most likely the practice squad.

Baldwin tore a small tendon behind his knee during the first half of the Browns 21-16 preseason win over the Jets. The timing of the injury is very unfortunate for the receiver in his second season out of Michigan. By all accounts Baldwin has had a tremendous offseason followed up by several impressive performances to start Training Camp.

When speaking about Baldwin to the media last week, head coach Kevin Stefanski had some high praise for him while discussing how it is tough to see guys go down with injuries during the preseason, "I feel for the kid, he's done so many good things for us over these months." Moments later he added that "Daylen is a guy that has been very diligent in this building, he is a guy that all throughout the month of June, when I popped my head in here, he happened to be in here and in that weight room."

Hopefully, the promising young receiver can rehab his injury and get back to full strength soon.
