Los Angeles Rams: 5 Most Exciting Games on the 2024 Schedule
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Rams schedule won’t be released until next week, but we have known who they will play in 2024 for months. Let’s take a look at the Rams games that will be the most important, with the most intrigue, and the ones that will be the most exciting to watch.

Los Angeles Rams Most Exciting Games:

At Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions rocketed up the list of top Los Angeles Rams rivals. There is the Matthew Stafford mistreatment, the playoff loss, the Tyler Higbee injury, and the general annoyance of enduring a fan base tortured by years of losing who finally get a taste of the good life. Unbearable…

This one ought to be featured in a primetime slot and very well could be the Lion’s annual Thanksgiving Day game. The Rams haven’t played on Thanksgiving since 1975, so they are long overdue for a rep on Turkey day.

Sean McVay once said, “Football and Thanksgiving just always go together.”

Green Bay Packers

The 2024 Rams/Packers game in SoFi will be the 100th time the two teams have faced off in their long and storied history. The first game was played all the way back in 1935. The Packers hold a narrow margin in the old rivalry, having won 50 games, losing 47 and two ties.

But the Green Bay Packers have had the Los Angeles Rams number in the McVay era winning 4 straight, including a playoff loss. McVay’s only victory came all the way back in 2018 and that was a two-point win.

The most recent game was played last season and was in the nadir of the Rams 2023 campaign. The Rams were 3-5 heading into Week 9. They were banged up including an injury to Stafford. The Packers allowed just three points to the Rams offense captained by backup QB Brett Rypien.

After that, they went on a Bye Week, then came a heater, winning seven of their last eight games and earning a playoff spot.

This game will have huge playoff implications as well

Buffalo Bills

The last time these two teams met it was the kick-off to the 2022 season. The Bills authored a first-class beatdown of the Super Bowl champion Rams. That kicked off one of the worst post-championship seasons in football history. Well, it’s time to get one back.

Both teams have been rebuilt since that game and it will be a good test to see which organization has better weathered the storm of the raucous NFL landscape. Stafford going against Josh Allen will always be an intriguing matchup.

At New Orleans Saints

The Rams have only won once in New Orleans in the McVay era, except for an infamous overtime playoff game that was decided by a blown pass interference call.

That play will forever haunt Saints fans. The Silverdome is known for having one of the loudest fan bases in the league and they will be looking at this game as revenge.

The best thing the Los Angeles Rams can do is go in and shut them up early. If not it could be a long day for Stafford and Co.

Miami Dolphins

This will be the first time the Rams have played this iteration of the Dolphins. In fact, these two teams have barely any history. They’ve only played 14 times since 1971, and the Rams have lost all but two including the one game of the McVay Era (2020)

The Dolphins have been one of the more inconsistent teams in football under Mike McDaniel. But when that offense is humming, they can run up the score. ( See the 2023 Denver game) This will be a good test for what is expected to be a young and inexperienced Los Angeles Rams defensive line. If they prove they can corral all that speed, this defense could be elite.
